Art painting of a dog at bonfire dogs fire smores by nikkijbeer

Price: US $0.01
Dimensions: 8 x 10 inches
Medium: Acrylic
Seller's Description: "8X10 Acrylic painting of a dog (possibly a lab) by a bonfire roasting a marshmallow, no frame."
We Say

When a marshmallow catches fire you have to hurry to blow out the flame or you will be eating a cinder. Nikkijbeer says the creative process is just as fleeting. The dark streaks of wet-blended acrylics in this painting speak of impatience; no time to sit around and wait for paint to dry, the art is happening NOW! Could it be a lab? Could it not be an un-lab? This is a dog born of our inner desires, our id hound, barking to hold the fragile sweets too close to the fire or to soar, like Icarus, high enough to touch the sun/Frisbee. Compared to other paintings this bargain comes with twice as much paint on the canvas.

SYMBOL OF ENERGY by enchantress435

Price: US $0.99
Dimensions: 10 x 8 inches
Medium: Acrylic
Seller's Description: "THIS PAINTING WAS DONE WITH MY VERY OWN SYMBOLS, THIS IS THE LETTER E FOR ENERGY."
We Say

An excellent choice for moms who want a great big "E" on their wall but reject accepted semiotics in favor of organic, post-social structuralism. Very understated use of color. May attract eldar to nearby electrical outlets.

ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR PAINTING "FOREVER YOUNG" BY BOOMER by boomer_couple_art

Price: US $0.99
Dimensions: 8 x 6 inches
Medium: Watercolor
Seller's Description: "This watercolor was painted from the image the song "Forever Young" brings to mind when this Central Florida artist hears it on the radio. As a boomer, Kathleen knows the joy of two people who are still young enough to hold hands and different enough to wear matching outfits. So to all the boomers, may you always be "Forever Young". "
We Say

The great lie of Social Security is gutted in this daring political observation from boomer_art_couple. Faceless (robbed of their face) seniors walk with their backs to the audience. They are dressed similarly (uniformity/conformity) and they clasp together their clamp-like fingerless appendages. Literally nothing awaits them, they have no future thanks to the ballooning of deficits and the increasingly old population of the developed world. Great for reminding mom that her life's journey will almost surely end with years of unskilled labor and destitution.

Cats whimsical art aceo original oil painting Delilah
by delilahsart

Price: US $1.25
Dimensions: 2.5 x 3.5 inches
Medium: Art card
Seller's Description: "whimsical art"
We Say

Nagas with rosacea (or NWR) loom up from the midnight blue like the feline fundaments of hellish abyssal worms searching for nourishment somewhere in the depths of your nightmares. The florid crudeness of the painting lends the horror a folksiness perfect for the country mom with severe dissociative disorder and an abject fear of cats. For added effect, tell her this is a painting of her dead cats whether or not she has ever had cats.

ST. JOHN BAPTIZING JESUS- ACEO ORIGINAL ART ACRYLIC
by luckylindy222
Price: US $1.25
Dimensions: 2.5 x 3.5 inches
Medium: Art card
Seller's Description: -
We Say

This unusual rendering of St. John's baptism at the hands of Christ casts the audience as an intruder on a very intimate moment. Jesus appears ready to jump at the interloper, but Sinjun holds him back with a hand on Christ's matronly breast. The heavy reliance on browns creates a foundation of realism for this Biblical event and the inclusion of a tree in the background reminds us that plants have existed for over 2,000 years. Excellent for moms who are easily overwhelmed by visual details.
