Game Legacies, submitted by Cyberventurer. Ah, the Internet of yore, when webrings bound us and marquee-scrolling text and clashing multicolored layouts delighted our eyes. How I yearn for the days before message boards, when teenaged nerds had to take such initiative to get their voices heard. How I long for designs using frames, and links that pop up in new windows, oh me, and the embedded music files on every page.
How my heart aches to read one boy’s opinion of Star Wars. How I would love to see a hit counter with the number “143” on it just one more time, as it was when the Internet was fresh and new, when its users were quaint and virginal. Gamelegacies.com, I thank you for a delightful trip down memory lane. Now get the hell out of here!
