The concept of the hero is one that has been around for a long time, but one that never truly mattered until the introduction of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For the first time, we had heroes of grit and glory, willing to fight for what was right no matter the odds. Also they were turtles and they were named after renaissance painters. And they were ninjas, too. With such a whopping level of stupidity overkill, the concept took off and dominated many a childhood, including mine. This week we look back at our shelled friends and pay tribute to them as only we can. Please join us as we celebrate turtle power!
