In some ways No Man's Sky is the bizarro twin of Star Citizen. Both are outer space games that can never escape the gravity well of their hype. Star Citizen is constantly adding promises of very specific objects and game modes and selling them to idiots for tens of thousands of dollars. No Man's Sky is happy to whisper "procedural generation" with a sly wink and let preview writers paint wildly unrealistic pictures with their imaginations.
As the release of No Man's Sky inches closer, we still don't know much about what it actually is or how the player will interact with any of it. If these newly-leaked button layouts for the Playstation 4 version are any indication, the game might just be everything you wished for after all.
