You just finished Super Mario Bros. on the NES. It was tremendous. An eye-opening experience that left you wondering if there are any similar games. Luckily for you, we've done the legwork, scouring every known database of video games for other titles you might enjoy.

Super Mario Bros. 2: This also has a guy named Mario in it, which is probably the main thing you want. That is to say, the most compelling element of Super Mario Bros. for you was the fact that there was a man who was named Mario. This game also has levels, much like Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Bros. 3: In this game, there is also a character that goes by the name of "Mario". Remember the mushrooms in Super Mario Bros.? Well, you're in luck, my friend. There are several mushrooms hidden throughout this game.

Super Mario Land: I don't think there's anyone named Mario in this one, but there is a Mario in the title, which has to count for something. Consider picking this up if it's on sale.

Super Mario World: This one has a VERY strong Mario presence. He's in practically every screen.

Super Mario 64: I don't know how they did it, but the makers of this game created 3D versions of the question mark blocks (from Super Mario Bros.). There's a guy named Mario in this one too.

Super Mario Sunshine: Remember that special move "jumping" from Super Mario Bros.? Well, it's back in this game, and a character named Mario can do it!

New Super Mario Bros.: One of the most interesting concepts from Super Mario Bros. was the idea of enemies. These digital characters set out to impede your progress. It's curious that more games don't make use of enemies. Well, New Super Mario Bros. has enemies. And Mario.

Super Mario Galaxy: This one has a guy called Mario.

Super Mario Galaxy 2: This one is even better than the original Super Mario Galaxy because it has Mario AND running (which you might remember from Super Mario Bros.).

Super Mario 3D World: Woah, talk about a blast from the past! Remember the bad guy from Super Mario Bros.? The turtle man? Not Mario (though he's also in this), the koopa king. He's in this game too.

Super Mario Maker: I hesitate to recommend this one. It's mostly just whistles and dog barks and a hand. Then again, there is a Mario and some parts looks almost exactly like the original Super Mario Bros. on the NES. Only buy this one if you're a completionist or you have a high tolerance for shortcomings.
