As depicted on several episodes of the show, to this day money can be exchanged for products, with a gatekeeper in place to make sure the transaction terminates without error or fraud. But not every store has the lovable Apu, an offensive stereotype we've come to tolerate out of the shared shame of once thinking it was funny. Thank you, come again!
